Forms and inquiries
When you submit a form on this site (Start a Program, Order a Startup Kit, Take the Training, Submit Your Story, Contact), we collect the fields you provide so HQ can respond to your inquiry or fulfill your order. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Some forms forward your data to our email service provider so we can reply, and to our payment processor when a purchase is involved.
Comments
If commenting is enabled on a blog post, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string for spam detection. An anonymized hash of your email may be shared with the Gravatar service so a profile picture can appear next to your comment after approval.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
Comment cookies last one year. Login cookies persist two days (or two weeks if "Remember Me" is selected). Screen-option cookies last one year. Article-edit cookies expire after one day and contain no personal data.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Who we share your data with
IP addresses are included in password-reset emails. Submitted form data is shared with our email service provider so HQ can reply, and with our payment processor when a purchase is involved. We do not sell your data.
How long we retain your data
Comments and metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically. Registered user profiles remain editable indefinitely. Form submissions are retained as long as HQ needs them to respond and fulfill the inquiry.
What rights you have over your data
You may request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, or request its erasure. This does not include data required to be kept for administrative, legal, or security purposes. To make either request, email info@dadsofgreatstudents.com.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
